We all want to be needed
We all want to belong
We strive to be happy…
To be healthy… Wealthy…
Strapping and strong

We all want to be right…
To sing our own song… To soar like a kite
We want to run with the wind…
To laugh with delight… To walk in the sun
and dance in the light

And we yearn to be free…
To discern darkness from night…
To live in a world where we don't have to fight
Where justice prevails and hope never fails…
To right every wrong… To reach every height

From earth below to the heavens above
We want to know what is within our sight
To love and be loved… To think as we might…
We want to live life to the fullest…
Not paltry… Not slight
But Life, everlasting…
Abundant… And bright
