Across the paper, the pen trips
Squiggles and curves shaping words
Characters of good and bad
Expressions of happiness and sad
Puppets on a clean white page
Toil the roles they might play
Groomed for stardom someday
Through the roles they might play
These are everyday toils and hustles
Doing the best like puzzles
Expressing thoughts and ideas
Humbly forgetting the past
Roles they play, bewilders someday
A satisfaction they hope
Can be...of piece of slope
Performers of persuasive prose
When placed upon a page in rows
Withstanding the test of time
Conscious style or rhythmic rhyme
Imagination holds no bound
And destinations can be found
Building blocks standing tall
Across the paper the pen falls
A lyrical ode to the poetic muse written from three subtly differing points of view. Should I hazard a guess as to which verse belongs to whom? Let me try. Meggie wrote the first, JoJo the Second and Dodgy Dave the third. Now I've stuck my neck out. Great poem by the way, you three. Love Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ (the hearts are for Meggie he he)

Writing is indeed a creative adventure. My applause for the three of you. As always, Sandra
