Advice To Reviewers Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Advice To Reviewers

Reviewers of my Poetry
Are usually very kind to me,
For I do write with Rhyme and Scan,
And with five verses, when I can.

But there are times,
But then not often,
When my Style does not please,
And their comments, I'd wish they'd soften.

Reviews can be pleasing or cruel,
Reviewers they do not use Rules,
For when they criticise,
They can bring tears to the Poet's eyes.

Reviewers ~~ when you pick up your pen,
Think ~~ what you wish to write then,
Will it offend or uplift you,
If another Poet, to you did it too.

I do not wish to stop your task,
But be kind to us, is all we ask,
For you are also poets too,
And Reviews are written of poems by you.
