i remember we went to river
we found these fishes by light
of flashlight quietly in shallows
between rocks, they could be
laying eggs or maybe sleeping
some were startled, some frozen
we were so happy we didn't
catch them, we pet them until
they swim away, it never happen
again, river dried out, diverted
greedy farmers who needs water
they're complaining, they have more
