After A Certain Age/There Is So Much One Has To Forget Poem by Shalom Freedman

After A Certain Age/There Is So Much One Has To Forget

After a certain age
There is so much one must forget
In order to be happy
So much one must not think too much about
Living in the moment and the now
And with appreciation of all the blessings
Is not something everyone can do
Those who have seen too much and lived too long
May not know how to forget
But one must try to remember the blessings
To take joy in the good that one has been given
To thank G-d still and in spite of everything else
Blessed blessed are those who love life to the end.

A lot more positivity than previous writes. Quite a good poem. Does that make you feel better? +++10
