Against My Empty Soul - Poem by Bee Kilpatrick

The answer echoes
Against my empty soul
I listen to the waves
As they come and go
The language unfamiliar
As the summer is to the snow
My soul longs
For what my heart
Forgot so long ago
Speak now in a language
That I may understand
For all these years
What the waves have said
To the sand

Such a fascinating and profound message from the imagery of nature! You seem to have a good grasp of an interior life and spirituality. Very touching and divine poem. I love it! Thank you once again for sharing with us. RoseAnn (Report) Reply

The nature in its myriad ways hands out messages which we, more often than not, are unable to understand. Even then, a sensitive mind gets to know the message. Thanks. (Report) Reply

    Aloha Bee...

Credit when credit is due... nice... truly some more conscious human thought rests within these well used words... that footsteps in the sand thing again... paraphrased well... think of those more recently discovered humanoid prints... in more solid sand... long time ago... being chased by dino'! reality surely takes a bite out of your hide! This is just too much fun...I am having a ball... two or more to be precise... [For what my heart
Forgot so long ago]... touch me some more my busy one... something about that conception thing in the design... memory did not get transferred... properly! it is not that what came before is forgotten... it is just you human beings just do not grasp the intent of that gray material within your skulls... it is a tool... and ifin ya don't use it... ya lose it! git it? All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
