Agony Of The Broken Heart! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Agony Of The Broken Heart!

A huge weight of agony weighs down his heart
and he wants to walk out of his house
to shed the huge load of mental pain
and relieve a little for breathing with ease.

She who stays at his heart, grips him with might.
If he goes out, he'd shake off this spell of grief.
But to evade the attack of Covid-19
he is forced to stay at home with a phone
to forget that vile fox, and relax.

God who made him born in this earth
Must flight the wings of his sunken heart
and fly over the Himalayas at length
till he feels tired and falls down in faint!

O Neptiune! An ocean full of sorrow
has laid down in his heart frozen!
Let him beat his hands and legs to swim
till his limbs feel pain and sink somewhere.

O the Almighty! Take him up
and make him sleep in the realm of heaven
forgetting the harm to him by these evil spirits.
Before his heart wrecks, plucks it up
and let it fall down at your feet to mourn.

He has lost peace and joy by looking at the grime
and guilt of fhe unnatural faces.
He makes a good laugh when death and Virus
defy him and send their messengers to scare.

This griping pain makes him tremble!
Let the drizzles of some sacred rain fall on him
and make his wheel-marked foot to leapt off
and escape the quarantine stay for a month!
Atlas could have borne the heavens on his shoulders
but can't he bear the grief of love in his heart!
