Alone Poem by Naomi Waters

Alone

Rating: 5.0

I feel ignored
Out of place
Like I no longer belong
They once cared
Treated me like an equal
But now
Things have changed
They joy no longer lingers in the air like it once did
Once I felt included
Now I feel like a person lost in the crowd
I am trapped
Bleeding out in the dark
I cry for help
But still they walk away
And leave me to face the shadows on my own
'Come back please' I shout
They hear me, this I know
Still they walk away
Showing me they no longer care
Never will again
And probably
Never did

this is about when my friends betrayed me
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Sometimes when friends leave us, we realize we were already alone, I have been in this poem in the past, I didn't like it, I write a poem ...life in a tear isn't so bad, As long as you know how to swim, I would love to sail across the eye, If I only had a friend, Your poetry is powerful!

I have written many poems on depression which I suffer from, I do find that penning my words helps me at least yell in the dark, I hope to be reading more of your poetry, I will be looking: -)

People act superficially in groups. If a leader decides it's 'popular' to oust a member, the rest of the group follows suit. Probably if you had one on one interaction with individual members they would reveal they only betrayed you because everyone else was doing it... Teenage social circles aren't greatly representative of life beyond high school. Keep that in mind
