An Angel.. Bow & Arrow Poem by Simon Chamoun

Cupid knocked the bloody door
Something went wrong.. again
With his awful bow and arrows
Never invited.. yet he flew in
Drew out a heart shaped arrow
Ugly, Red, and of love all scented
Without dropping a hello he aimed
shot me, and still I.. pretended
That it didn't come back to haunt me
the same feeling I had fought for long
Just to find myself smiling at my enemy
not knowing what was going on

Love.. what a power of devastation
but it somehow always feels right
Yet this time the feeling differed
strong, reverent, close, and tight
I never understood the mechanism
I only knew everything was better
Engineered in such a thought of me
every moment of it lasted forever

All these feelings started taking place
the moment you spoke the divine words
Yet I have spoken such before to a few
but somehow, I had never heard
Such soothe yet excite, a voice, a vision
a mixture of many lovely things, a blend
Of love, joy, and an awesome future, yet
still accompanied, with the fear of an end

But the lessons had been harsh and many
the room for error.. now is null
Yet I want to remain crazy and passionate
as my love to you is not dull
I loved your mind before I met you
and forever wanna keep it that way
Every time I look at your eyes and speak
I wanna feel no less than cast away

The world became such a better place
Now that I'm yours and you are mine
I want to grow old with you on my side
and still feel as well and fine
As when you blow the sands of time
off a well-aged bottle of wine
Just to discover.. a state of utter perfection
engineered with love.. a Love Divine

The difference now is within the very
words of the same love songs I hear
Some craving for a kiss, and others
wishing you had always been here
But what I quest is more than love
for years I have seek the truth
It seems so, and finally have my trees
produced its long awaited fruits

All I know now is this time I am sure
and waiting for the Zero hour
Where I get to look in your eyes and
say the eternal yes.. Forever
A moment I craved for a lifetime
and only now I am pretty sure
A single Lifetime does not count
its worthy two, Seven? Much more

I adore my offspring, though yet to be
I see them in your eye so clearly
I want to be selfish and offer life beauty
a gorgeous child as you.. yearly
I cannot wait to see them blossom
under the protection of our wings
For the world deserves as much splendor
as your heart, soul, and being is

I Love you with all the power I have
As humanly possible to love
My only wish would be enough existence
To eternally treat you as a princess
