Neither in the past
nor in present times
existed ever a poem
like this! mind it!
never in the future
nor beyond that
exists ever a poet
like this! mind it!
adored to be like this
an epic to be penned
I thought I wished
with unmatched talent
and a theme unparalleled
a jewel it should be
among the poems
I thought I wished
sonnet or lyric
epitaph or quatrain
dilemma I had
In opting a style
metered to perfection
rich in rhymes
enchanting with rhythm
to be composed a poem
I thought! I wished
ended in procrastination
my wish remained a wish
unnoticed may be I now
certain to be noticed one day
when the veil of bad luck
blown off in coming days
