Running on the sands of time
I catch a glimpse of the sea of life
Unexplained and undeciphered
Only clocks know the perfect rhyme

Seeing waves ascend or descend
I look for laughter, love and hope
Seeing the sun flash tiny beams
Each one is a caring friend

Seeing grey, white or black clouds
I sense they test my strength
Winds of change blowing about
Needs patience all at length

Seeing business done as usual
Feels like ships navigating
Being steady on the goal
To destinations waiting

Running on the sands of time

Maybe more to learn anew
