Another Count Poem by Yasmin Khan

Another Count

Moments by moments like beads
On a string drop down, another count
Is complete, a sapling sprouts from a seed
Into a young plant soon it grows
Tender shoots mature and ripe
Leaves mellow calmly to autumn glow
For a while then return to soil to enrich new life
In the next spring blooms, blossoms anew
In the woodlands smile and thrive!

Time slips by and years fall off like beads from a string or leaves from a tree to be repaced by new ones! A new Year has dawned! Hope it will herald a new spring! Enjoyed! !
