Another One Has Turned
The wolves are turning.
They smell blood from one their own.
As he keeps making sounds like a newborn burning.
Every action he takes, just reinforces what they think.
If they are to survive, he must say goodbye.
Forced out, abandoned to find a hole to crawl in and die.
The appearance of doing what's right, but only because it's demanded.
Your crimes are so much worse then his.
You allowed him to become what he is.
Never one argument or fight.
Now you claim to be to carrying the light.
And you claim you'll show us the way out of the darkness.
Where were you when it first started to matter.
Enabler by the silence by you keep.
All it takes for evil to triumph is even, especially a not so good, a very powerful man to do absolutely nothing.
You were put in that position with certain expectations.
A quality, a way of life.
Definitely not another death by sunrise.
Even now you are calculating the benefits too you before you open your mouth.
Worried now that you're supporters are becoming very few.
Being forced to choose, so afraid to lose.
But unlike the man you raised and you sheilded.
There will be no charges civil or criminal.
That doesn't mean that you're not responsible.
It just means there no law against doing nothing.
Better go to priest if you wish for your soul to be clean.
Because in the public eye you'll never be forgiven.
I hope this haunts you for the rest of your miserable life.
