every file of snow gone
except underneath my car
branches still dripping
birds came out chirping
I open my car to clear
all trash for this week
found news paper unread
un-open soda cans, cold
drink one for my thirst

I left my blanket in there
so as towel and flashlight
six pack of bottled water
one umbrella, first aid kit
rain coat and sleeping bag
boxes of power bars, candies
am ready for winter, yes it is
