beware the critic who proclaims
the language of poetry is never
the specific language of any age
because this statement is
inherently intrinsically wrong
in multiple blind degrees
poetry usually is the language
of the age the spirit of the age
if written on issues of the age
i can pick time periods easily
generally in most past poets work
Shakespeare Wordsworth easily
stylistically writing with clarity
simplicity or cunning deceit intrigue
their age speaks through choice words
breathed dialogue images in script scenes
as poets artists strive to be self set profound
insightful or exact universal in net themes
artists may wax mundane trivial in clichés
most seem to over generalize too much dross
most write in through their age race cultures
genius will seek to escape stereotypes
break boundaries Houdini incinerate rules
genius will stretch horizons embrace infinities
