As I Sit In This Quiet Space Poem by Shalom Freedman

As I Sit In This Quiet Space

AS I SIT IN THIS QUIET SPACE

As I sit in this quiet space
Surrounded by too much natural
Man-made beauty
These trees this grass
These flowers this park
Are one whole green world
I wonder how
After so many years
I am still here
Writing these small lines
And feeling
The joy of being alive.
