As The Children Grow Poem by Queen Jane

As The Children Grow

Rating: 3.0

While staring through my window I see the familiar yet somewhat older faces,
I just wonder just where the time has gone.

I notice how adolescence causes changes and rearranges one’s mind.
There’s so much to be learnt and taught and much to be absorbed.

While peering outside I hear the laughter,
yet who knows or yet alone cares about all the crying within.

I imagine myself at different ages and recall all the anguish and hurt but fortunately remember all the joys
of being alive.

I have no conclusions nor do I offer ideals,
I just watch as the children grow.
