As We Grow Old Poem by Megan Kathryn Miller

As We Grow Old

Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful
Will you be able to see through my wrinkles
Can you still see me as strong when I'm weak and pitiful
Can you still see my eye still twinkles

Will you still dance with me and help me twirl
Will you still call me your angel at heart
Can you think past age and still see a young girl
Can you still feel your heart break when we are apart

Can I sill take your breath away when I walk in
Can I still make you nervous to say you love me
Will I still find you handsome as you pour some gin
Will I stand looking for you across the sea

My heart is forever yours
Even after your skin matures

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
After falling in love with my boyfriend, i often wondered if even when our youthfulness and beauty is gone, will we still be in love? I think I'll always love him till my last breath.
