Thin Poem by Megan Kathryn Miller

Thin

Circles
Ovals
Capsules
Things that strip the meat from my bones
A glass of water
A swallow
Suddenly I’m not hungry
I need to be thinner
110lbs
100lbs
93lbs
I need to go lower.
85lbs
82lbs
80lbs
Sixteen years old
Five foot three
80lbs and dropping
I smile as I see my ribs
Finally.
