At The Shelf Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

At The Shelf

Rating: 5.0

Father needs to talk
As there is someone with to talk
He need not look back and think
The child reminds him not to blink

Only he has to keep pace
To alive his race
Now child has come to delight
He looks future very bright

So far he was leading
And worriedly reading
About what was lying in store!
Now he need not worry and explore

"Give me your hand" child speaks
"I shall take your care" and allows no weakness
Such is accomplishment in journey
God has sent some to stand by already

Old eyes get blurred
But nothing is murmured
It is address to self
There is so much treasure at the shelf
