Attached to the rock bed Poem by Tonnus Oosterhoff

Attached to the rock bed

Attached to the rock bed, egg strings see through their glassy casing
their parents, just under the water's surface, looking at the stars.
They are longing, the children sense. But for what?
The egg strings nudge each other hopefully: soon, we too will go out longing.
