Autumn Word Challenge Poem by samuel faye

Autumn Word Challenge

In the cathedral of nature
beneath the glowing Autumn sky
Sweet memories of days long past
Accompany me

Nestled in the newly laid carpet
lush with marmalade leaves
The winds of this season of change
Serenade me

Reminiscent of those now cherished days
wrapped in the warmth of the golden sun
Smiles of the youth we took for granted
Grace me

Closing my eyes to soak this in
breathing deep the scene before me
The ghosts of what might have been
Haunt me
