Barefoot On The Grass Poem by Pradip Chattopadhyay

Barefoot On The Grass

Rating: 5.0

Today at dawn in windy rush
Before sun could melt its heat
Sinking my feet in dewy grass
I strolled merrily bare feet!

I felt on my feet a thousand kiss
Heart leapt in an unknown joy
Too long you missed this heavenly bliss
Grass whispered to a reborn boy!

Lost count of time when walked last
Retraced a stretch of green route
Forgot my root lost all trust
To walk on the grass barefoot!

The tickling grass as hugged my toes
Shed their dew like tears
They asked ugly leather smell our nose
where have you been all these years!

Thanks for reminding us what a blissful experience it is. Verse 2 is especially nice.

A lovely poem about something I like to encourage people to try. It's such a simple way to be closer to nature. Well done.
