BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE
Melvin Banggollay
Be proud of who you are
In this world made for all men
Even if you found that you are
nothing compared to other men
As long as you know who you are
in the eyes of God and men.
Be not humiliated when you are
so poor living always in famine
Even if you envy others who are
Living in den of gold and honey
As long as deep in your heart
You live a life of honor and dignity.
Be not ashamed of who you are
without education like sombody
Who may have all the degree
Even this makes you so lonely
As long as deep in mind and heart
you have right wisdom to convey.
Be proud of who you are in this world
With respective role you have to see
To keep this world rolling for others
and peace to reign with all its glory
For as long as you are in this world
You're worthy just like anybody.
I agree too.... You can read my poem Free From Social Cancer that's me, my history, a reason to get out in our country. But still proud like you. Sa ating lahi. Just me. Ency Bearis

What a thoroughly inspired write Melvin. A beautifully composed tribute to those with little who tread lightly on this earth. You're right. Dignity and self esteem should have nothing to do with wealth or status. Thanks for your insight. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
