Be Thankful

You woke up this morning
To see the bright sunshine
You had food on your table
Was in your right mind
Be thankful

Had shoes on your feet
Clothes on your back
Money in your pocket
Enough for a good snack
Be thankful

Family and friends
A good pal too
Some live far away
Others near to you
Be thankful

A stroll in the park
Some trips to the store
Who could ever ask
For anything more
Be thankful

The day is far spent
About to come to an end
To see the sunset
Just around the bend
Be thankful

A lovely elaboration with nice flow of words. Yes in our short mortal life we should be thankful. Otherwise life is so uncertain that I may not get a chance to give my thanks even. (Report) Reply

Gods gift to all. But to be truly grateful one must survive God's most severe tests and be able to say I am TRULY
thankful! Thankfully most of us are not tested to the limits. But for tornado victims, war veterans, amputees,
car crash or accident victims, birth defects, race, religion, and illness survivors...these are truly thankful people.
They are the examples of God's testing and are the leaders who show us the way to true happiness in life. When we overcome we have over acheived and then there is a tear of pride in God's eye. (Report) Reply
