Beautiful Injury Poem by Mehreen Mujeeb

Beautiful Injury

Rating: 5.0

Dew electrocutes the grass
Not a day it forgets
Water shatters like pieces of glass
Slowly flowing into sunset.

The sun bruises the sky
Shading it’s light
To diffuse into the sky's emotions and sighs
Slowly flowing into the night.

The shadows wound the ground
As they see flashes of the twilight
The shadows don’t see or sound
Slowly flowing into midnight.

Lightning scratches the air
Spraining clouds with its lies
Its thunder freezes as it stares
Slowly flowing into sunrise.

Yet our eyes cannot see
How beautiful injuries can be.
