Beauty Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Beauty

Beauty
- - - - - - - -
What it is, I wonder;
Is it a Nature’s flower?
Is it a Heaven’s star?
Is it as precious as gold
Is it a stone on the beach?
To be picked up from sand
By a careless passer-by
Strolling idly along the beach
No, it is not at all
It is something
Very strange and subtle
Created by an artist
Out of this chaotic world
In the torment of his soul
All are not destined
To possess and know it
Only persons with knowledge,
Sensitiveness and imagination
Can unlock the treasures of beauty
To feel it again and again in your heart
Repeat the adventure to explore
The depths of artistry................

Perhaps we poets are blessed in such a way that most of us can feel it and explore its inexhaustible potentialities and many sided dimension... Though abstract we can make it tangible! I feel the beauty of these lines!
