Beauty Goddess Poem by Bartholomew Arkoh Boamah Sarbah

Beauty Goddess

In wholistic proportion her personage was destined
to form a perfect coverage of her constructed framework
And the elements of nature rest with her;
Apparently, the sun shines for her sake
that in sparkling glamour,
her skin glows with each drop of the unwelcomed morning dew
sponging its feel
And the breeze of the wind
sweep away the scales of dirt from her
as it gently caresses her velvety epidermis
that even without asking,
beauty chases her with its collection of admirable characters
Alas! she struggles not to bloom
least she loses the opportunity of a normal life
Her fair is of a natural origin;
With spotless face not a harvest
of the bedaub of facial cosmetics
but the carve of natural adornment
And when she speaks,
smiles of good will spread across her dazzling lips
as undaunted emotion surges from the depth of her heart
They are the unsoiled messages of her inner being
So gentle and firm;
a mastery demonstration of inner beauty
daily pruned by the blades of her cherished faith
She is all in all, a lily of the meadow;
The Gloriosa Lily
