As I sleep tonight
I temporarily rest my sight
To dream and see
My beauty in the night

My beauty comes at night
She has the tender sweet love
Brewed from her innermost being
Love sent from above

My beauty comes at night
I see her when I close my eyes
And lay on my bed
Her face glooms in the skies

She is my beauty in the night
God's chosen helper
From dusk to dawn
She provides the warm shelter

At night's hour
I put my sight to rest
To dream and see
Her as my guest

Her love is so bright
She is my beauty in the night
The love that brings light
Only comes from my beauty in the night

I sleep to perform the rite
For my beauty in the night
The subconcious has a place right
For my beauty in the night

And as I sleep tonight
I temporarily rest my sight
To see my beauty in the night
