Because I Am Fifteen Poem by Michelle Asswit

Because I Am Fifteen

Rating: 2.5

Little children laugh
When they see dancing flowers
Something so simple
Will entertain them for hours
But what about people like us?
In their adolescense
We don't like anything
with or without essence
In a vast world
I feel trapped in a room
Even when it's vacant
I feel so invaded
Like someone's watching me
Although it's because I'm in my teens
It's because I am fifteen
