In the beginning all is hopeful as we prepare for something new
The journey still lays ahead, an ending that’s out of view

To start requires decision, the commitment is now made
Many distractions lie ahead, it is our duty to dissuade

Although others are around us, the path is ours alone
Seeking help along the way, we still must hold our own

Confirmation comes along the way to ensure a steady path
Adjusting for the good and bad, avoiding mistake’s wrath

The beginning is just a moment that quickly fades away
After that we only need to ensure we do not go astray
