Belief In Myself Poem by Randy McClave

Belief In Myself

I don't need your approval
Or your acceptance of me,
I don't care for your thoughts or your opinion
Just leave me alone and let me be.
I don't care what you believe or have said
With your gossiping and your sighs,
I don't care who you think you are
The truth up ahead lies.

If we two are ever walking
And we're coming towards each other on the same path,
I tell you now this with truth and all certainty
Get out of my way to avoid my wrath.

Great things are up ahead
I see them all in different shapes and sorts,
They will soon become my deeds
So, I don't need to hear from you or your cohorts.
I will not change the type of person that I am
Hopes and dreams and wishes I have always sought,
So, now watch me do exactly what I said
To do exactly, what you had said that I could not.
