Better Choices Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Better Choices

Why be around stuff that collects dust,
Just to rust!
And doing it with a pride done to strut.
Why...
Do people do this not to give up?
Why...
Do people do this with trust,
A doing kept maneuvered to refuse...
Better choices.

Why be around stuff that collects dust,
Just to rust!
And doing it with a pride done to strut.
Why...
Do people do this not to give up?
Why...
Do people do this with trust,
A doing kept maneuvered to refuse...
Better choices.

People everyday never admit that they can make,
Better choices.
People everyday say they wished that they had made,
Decisions they would never lament.
With intent kept and them meant.

Why...
Do people do this not to give up?
Why...
Do people do this with trust,
A doing kept maneuvered to refuse...
Better choices.

Why can't people identify,
Better choices!
And why can't people identify,
They can be made!
Why can't people decide...
Whether to go left or to go right.
Why can't people identify better choices!
Why can't people do this not to give up!
Why can't people do this with trust.
Why can't people identify,
Better choices!
