Why does this heart bleed for you,
A turquoise color from a love it once knew?
Why do these tears cascade from my face,
Tumbling down from a much worse place?
I love you to death were my words to you
Even to this day they still stand true.
Since I love you to death, death it shall be
As I sip on this poison known as whisky.
I tried and tried, I gave it my best.
Yet you still insisted to put our love to the test.
This pain cuts deep from a love that once was true,
All battered, beaten, and black and & blue.
