Black Chants Of The Mountain Goats Poem by Kevin Patrick

Black Chants Of The Mountain Goats

Mother of Night guide me with sight
Lead me to coronas of undying light
Father of Chaos, bring me your order
Ascend in my flesh the forces of nature

From out of the black seas of R'lyeh
Emerge the Cyclopean pits of Cthulhu
And deep in the crypts of Sirius Keep
Unleash the eater of star fire beasts

Let the moons of Jove shake their chains
And raise the infants of krakens reign
Let the doors of space unlock their eyes
Then slay the gods invisible to time

Spit fire for blood and venom for tongues
Let wasps eat my ears and serpents assuage
My bones become splintered and relics of ash
As my soul is the vessel that you may now pass

Awaken now ye great old once
Unspeakable Azathoth and Shub-Niggurath
Mighty Hastur and Nyarlathotep
And smite your basterd lesser gods

Let wind be pelt in earths descent
And Fire slave the waters dance
Disparage the ashes of false elements
These meagre threads will be your servants

From out of the void hear me call
First of the end, in the light of the dark
Come cast a hell and paradise
Into this world your death brings life
