Blind Fall Poem by Indira Renganathan

Blind Fall

Rating: 5.0

Queen Gandhari blindfolded herself
Because her husband was blind
How can a kingdom be ruled
By a queen and a king who're blind

Blind thoughts continue with a drunkard's wife
Boozy bottles denude her rage against life's strife
She takes herself to drinking to end her life
A revenge to make her husband suffer in hapless grief

He's a man of melting words to impress others
No wonder you're melted to support him lifelong years
A thief can put any one in an offense secretly
So sweetly you are now a partner in his thievery

Unaware, you're trapped. conspirator first, culprit next
A punishable offense by the moral, legal law the best
Love is blind they say.. a blind fall this way?
Verdict is some years behind the bars or more by God's way

Remember now, 'time betrays and hangs the thief'
Await time's sudden thrust to fall into utter grief
