Blue Checkered Hat Poem by Khloe Chace

That blue checkered hat,
Sits up there and takes a nap.
Dreams about all the good and fun times.
From memories of glory to times of fright.

Starts out when the hat was bought,
The girl who bought it was selfish not.
The hat rose home upon the girl's head.
This is how the story of the girl and the hat is led.

During the summer, they were always together,
Her swimsuit, towel and hat she would gather.
These two had a strong bond,
In a weird connection, extremely fond.

The girl modeled for her brother for his photography.
She always asked her hat ' Now won't you pose with me? '.
The checkered hat would always say 'Yes.
With me on your head is when you look best'.

This hat woke up with a start.
Flying through the air and landing on soft straw from a barn.
With the hat on her head,
'Let's go for an adventure' she said.
