The eastern sky slowly removes its black robe,
slips into a new dress of bright colours;
sun-rays drench the foliage in soft yellow.
You look into the magnificence of dawn;
the stare far-reaching, you feel immensity
of the eternal touching your heart.
But at sunset, in the fading view of distance
you waver between heaven and earth,
then sink, sliding into the cover of dark.
You remain resolute and hesitant in your life:
sometimes focussed on the vista,
sometimes hemmed in by the border.
