Bottom Touch Poem by Manonton Dalan

Bottom Touch

beautiful boat caught my eye
so steady i couldn't believe
very close it's behind rocks
i went to look where it's at
grounded keel buried in sand
abandon chairs and engine gone

i saw a lady taking pictures
she wanted me to take hers
in front of broken sea vessel
once a proud queen prowling
channels and nearby rivers
now on her grave; forgotten
