No artist of any age has his complete meaning alone.- T.S. Eliot. Boundaries of preconceived limitation are very similar to Blake's mind-forged manacles. Great thoughts tend to converge to the same peak. This is a great sonnet of limitless possibilities.

YOU WILL ASCEND THE HEIGHTS OF SPIRITUALITY, /AND THUS YOU WILL RECOGNIZE YOUR OWN IDENTITY. The first time I read this poem I was WOWED by the sheer wonder of the journey of self-discovery it traces in considerable detail and with great exuberance. I commented more on the exuberant tone than the meaning of self-discovery. I've re-read the poem several times now and I am beginning to delve deeply into it. The critic Northrup Frye identified the POEM OF SELF-RECOGNITION as the central work of the Romantic Poets. I have spent hours studying such poems. But here I find such a poem by a living poet - YOU! - with whom I can converse. I have jotted down notes and an outline of this poem but I want to spend more time with it before typing those ideas in a message to you. So enjoy London! Enjoy the travel! Enjoy the vacation! ... WOW! This poem expresses an exuberant view of life and summons us to fulfill it. And by doing so, we will find our identity. In an earlier message I almost apologized for suggessting we should push the contours of life to ecompass more experiences. I even said something like DON'T WORRY IT WON'T BREAK. But your poem is way beyond such a cautinary stance. You've already expanded yourslef, pushed the limits and from that position OUT THERE you are calling to us - COME AND COME QUICKLY! It's very heartening.

One should look into oneself, pull down the barriers! Buried beneath each human soul lies a divine spark! Blow it into a living flame! One will find immense possibilities! A deep write! Enjoyed!
