Of Santa Claus, St. Nicholas/Nick, Father Christmas, & Kris Kringle,
NONE left any X-mas/Christmas gift to give this Bri a bit of tingle.
I'd put out milk & cookies as my conscience told me to do on X-mas Eve,
but, if "he" came with his reindeer & sack of gifts, none did he leave.
Neither reindeer nor gifts were under the plastic tree {China-made},
though, for some NICE gifts, I'd gladly give my sister in trade, ...
though my sister would probably only get in Old Santa's merry way,
and she'd certainly {the Old Girl} weigh down his Christmas sleigh! !
I gave no gifts to P-H, except some of my poems-paltry; it's a fact.
But let's look to the New Year,2020, coming down the calendar-track.
My wish for all who read this is a fair chance to have a decent life.
So let us all strive to make this a reality despite all the strife...
which, for some, will continue in this imperfect world. Lend a hand...
to bring fairness to all throughout the world, in EVERY single land.

You evoke the Christmas of childhood skilfully. For some reason, this reminds me of 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens, my favourite.
The poem, INVICTUS by William Ernest Henley is a great poem. It is one of my favorite great poems of all time.
A heartwarming, inspiring and humorous write. Liked the closure line, " Lend a hand To bring fairness to all throughout the world, in EVERY single land. A great line from a marvelous poem. It captures the true spirit of Christmas and must be put in our heart and imbibe in the mind.
Wishing a fair chance to have a decent life is great. Thanks.
2 - Ok, so PH makes some mistakes. Don't we all? ? ? And PH is free to use, submit poems to, and read stuff from others. If 'lucky' one might also get, as a message, a provocative message from some 'person' wishing to get to know " one" better! bri :) Where else can I get all of this for FREE! ?
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
1 - Well, PoemHunter has again, inexplicably [that means " without explanation" ], altered what i typed into the 'submit a new poem' page. This time P-H, or some unknown creature, has tacked/attached my word " by" , found before the authors' names, onto the last word of some of the poem titles. " Good grief Charlie Brown! " [a cartoon character used to say that in the Peanuts comic strips in U.S. newspapers]
