With tears washing
Her rosy cheek,
And dripping on her coffer-
I stretched my hand
To wipe her bust-
She said “let it be,
For it might wash
The humiliation and pain, ”
Then asked while sobbing
Saying: “Do you know
What disgrace is”?
I looked at her with awe
And said: “ May be but,
I can’t recall”,
She replied to her
Own question saying
“When you are a woman
Of dignity and reply to a plea
That’s like an emergency call
And you respond,
Dashingly and gaily
Forgetting all about your
Need and Fear;
The surrounding DANGER;
Your forget your panic,
Just to help and cuddle
The so thought needy
Persons, but you
Find something
Like a wish-wash
Drink;
You really wanted
Nothing except
To help;
To listen to their
Complain and you
Find no body.
