Broken Trees Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Broken Trees

The broken trees were
Frozen though
It was summer.

Into a crystalline glass
The whole forest cooled
Its restlessness inherent

For the glass had conspired
To clamp Evolution but ah!
Evolution more cunning
Brought Dawn quicker for
The glass to flee.
