Broken Wings Poem by Paul Sebastian

Broken Wings

Rating: 5.0

You break my wings
So that I cannot fly
My heart had dreams
But now they will die

A promise, now broken
Can a knot mend it?
Trust once is forsaken
Can love again knit?

Better I let you be
Let you go your way
Better I set you free
My life bare, I’ll stay

Sad drop. Has a beautiful rhyming and flow. Liked it.

The poem bearing a sense of distress is most touching. The emotions expressed are tormenting and finally the bowing before the unavoidable.10 +++
