Building A Life Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Building A Life

Pieces of knowledge and time
Construct a life ready to climb.
Rising to the heights of maturity,
Striving for wisdom and security.

With the price of growing old…
Many obstacles and flaws unfold.
Many challenges grow in length…
The test is met with great strength.

The formation of a human is unique.
He or she may be subject to critique.
The assessment of a life is selective.
Depending on a viewer’s perspective.

The elements that create someone…
Amaze onlookers when the plan is done.
The steps stop at the top of the staircase.
When the final stone has been put in place.
