Burden Of Grief Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Burden Of Grief

A burden of grief hangs quietly, keeping me hidden
from those who want to talk.

Misty-eyed, alone, afraid to reach through the
crystal tears, afraid to share this burden of
grief with another.

Invisible walls building themselves about me,
trying to contain the sorrow my heart is bleeding.

Is there a listening spirit anywhere near? Or
must I share within myself the burden of grief I
bear.
