But Then Again... Poem by Sea Owl

But Then Again...

You belittle everything that I do.
Insignificant problems, unimportant gestures.
But then again,
I've never felt more confident.

You are a constant reminder of my sadness.
Gray skies, dried up tears.
But then again,
Now I know what happiness is.

You sometimes infuriate me,
Clashing thoughts, boiling blood.
But then again,
I've never been more at peace.

I always cherish my loneliness.
Lonely cloud, only child.
But then again,
I've only wanted to spent every second with you.

I grew to hate parts of your being.
Cold dishes, poisonous waters.
But then again,
I fell in love with you.

Your existence has created chaos in my life.
Rolling of storms, quakes of earth.
But then again,
If all of this hadn't happened,
what would have become of me?
