Can'T Get Much Worse

Rating: 5.0

I'm broken hearted-down and parted
Life is just dreadful but nobody cares
The music's loud to mask the crying
Everyone's moved on and they forgot to take me
Now I want to be happy, I want to be pretty, but I just can't let me.
I've caught his eye, but I think we annoy him
I wanna be sorry, but I want to be the hero
It's hard to carry on and act like nothing's the matter,
It's worked this far, but the mask is getting heavier
Goodbye would be best, but who would I have?
Confronting it scares me because I'd have to admit it aloud
I should have been better, I should have been there
The fire will go out and I'll be alone in the dark
The world might go on, even though I lost it all
I'm trying, trying so hard.
Trying to be happy.
Trying to be cheery.
Trying, but, inside, I'm more depressed than I've ever let on.

When I talk and nobody listens, I'll know that life goes on
I'm here, and I'm all alone
'It's all wrong', 'It'll never happen', 'But it can't get much worse, right? '
