Captive Poem by Abul Kayyum

Captive

Sky is covered by skyscrapers
And the sunrise by mortars
Roses of tub bloom in shade
Where air passes zigzag

Captives in the closed doors
Live on frozen food
And rubbing false light on their skin
Fail to maintain measure of dance.

Captives culture fishes in glass
And cactus on the lobby.
Earth is gone from beneath their feet
Captives search grass in their dream

Captives know pumpkin by viewing TV
And lose their sense by seeing rats
But they foster dogs in love
And purchase juice for guineapigs

Captives in closed doors –they are
Captives in closed car –they are
Captives in the files –they are
Captives in strange machines

Captives sell the bases of their own
To their opposite owns
And get them captive willingly
Far off the shades of cane garden

Sky is covered by skyscrapers
And the sunset by bricks and stone
Roses of tub doze in dark
Where air passes zigzag

Captive
