Song Of Love And Death Poem by Abul Kayyum

Song Of Love And Death

Man is indebted to cloud, but cloud is to river.
River is genuflected to sea for the debt to her.
Man is indebted to love and to cloud
And acknowledges debt to green field aloud
Man is indebted to woman to get bred
And indebted to debt.

Man is indebted to cloud, or to a drop of rain
And indebted to cool affection with pain
Man is a chilly love indebted to the air of chest.
Man is a flying cloud indebted to mother’s breast.

Cloud is indebed to river, so we are to eternal river
Chest is indebted to woman, so we are to eternal love
We are to eternal birth
We are to eternal flower.
